Organic farming is more than just production without chemicals: In addition to practical experience, expertise and knowledge about developments in agricultural science are crucial for organic cultivation. The TOPPlant project made relevant educational content accessible to organic farmers and developed an innovative, methodical curriculum with comprehensive training and e-learning concepts. So that agriculture can grow sustainably and cleanly.

Project contents
During the project period from November 2020 to January 2023, we developed the following in cooperation with four project partners from Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria:
- An innovative, methodical curriculum
- A comprehensive training manual
- Crop specific guidelines (for peppers, onions, potatoes, grapes, apples)
- An interactive e-learning tool

Project goals
The aim of the project was to promote organic farming through comprehensive knowledge transfer, increasing institutional capacities for vocational training in plant protection in organic farming, and the use of innovative educational tools such as e-learning.
